How much workout is considered too much?

I workout at the gym 5 days a week, resting on Saturday and Sunday. I always do a total body workout for going on for 2 hours.
Is that too much? Should I rest for another day?How much workout is considered too much?
In reality, you should workout everyday, just trade name sure you do good aerobic exercises everyday and if you lift up weights, lift every other light of day or every 2 days to allow muscle regeneration. But I wouldn't recommend working out 10 hours a hours of daylight, 3-5 hours a day is plenty.
yes, you should rest a light of day between work outs because lifting weights actually damages your muscles and they stipulation a day to repair. It is through repair that your muscles grow. If you similar to working out five days per week then work different muscle groups on different days - upper body mon-wed-fri / lower body tues/thurs. Better however - work out on the weights on Mon/Wed/Fri and do cardio / aerobic training (jog / run / bike) on tues / thurs. Good Luck!
